Bring on the Battles, It’s a Steal!
We’re nearly ready to rumble! This Sunday see’s the first of our four Battles, which means its sink or sing time for our 41 contestants. They will have to bring their A game if they want to impress their coaches and go through to the live shows. It’s tough on both our contestants and coaches, knowing that in order to go through one of their teammates will be heading home. That’s why this year our coaches will have the chance to steal a contestant from another team.
Here’s how it works: If one of our coaches feels that the losing battle contestant is worth a second shot or is simply too good to send home, they can steal that contestant and bring them through to the live shows as part of their team. They can only use their steal on contestants from other teams, and not use it on one of their existing contestants.
So while our contestants will be battling it out for survival, our coaches will be plotting and strategising who they can pick off from the other coaches team. To help them make the best choice our coaches will again have the help of some very capable and lovely assistants. Bressie will be joined by Girls Aloud’s Sarah Harding. Dolores will have Fiachna Ó Braonáin from The Hothouse Flowers to consult. Kian will have Matt Cardle to hand (winner of that show that shalt not be named!) and Jamelia will again be helped by Courtney Rumfold from Stooshe.
It promises to be an action packed four weeks. Be sure you tune in Sunday at 6.30pm on RTÉ One for all the thrills and drama.
